On Monday, August 27th, Apple launched its universal iTunes Festival 2012 iOS free apps and an accompanying Apple TV app, featuring live streaming capabilities for one of the greatest musical events that kick off on September 1St And lasts for the whole month.
Apple brings the merriment of its annual iTunes Festival again in 2012. Nearly 60 top music bands will be entertaining music lovers for 30 days and nights at the one of the best of UK’s live music venue – the Roadhouse in London. Normally the festival takes place in the month of July, but in 2012 it has been moved to September to avoid its clash with Euro 2012 and the London Olympics.
It is a grand feast for the Apple users to watch some of the most popular musicians of the world performing live from their iPad, iPhone or the Apple TV for free. To celebrate the occasion, Apple has introduced to the users a new iTunes Festival 2012 App for free this year so that the fans will not have an excuse to miss their favorite stars performing live. With all music lovers eager to watch the show of the year, it is no big wonder that the iTunes Festival 2012 app has been one of the most sought after the Apple App of the month. Not many Apple users are going to allow this amazing opportunity to pass by. The fans are eagerly looking out for artists participating in the festival which include big names like Jack White, One Direction, Norah Jones, Usher, David Guetta, Pink, Jessie J, Alicia Keys, TBA along with 60 other artists will be entertaining music lovers for the whole month.
Since its inception in 2007, the iTunes Festival has come a long way; growing in size, viewership, and popularity. So far Apple Inc. Has been streaming the gigs live to all iDevices and online, but this year it has gone a step ahead and added Apple TV and the free iTune festival app for the occasion with the bonus of a chance to win free tickets to the live performances. The advantage of the app is that it will allow the concerts to be accessible to be watched for a limited period after the live show. Good for those who have tightly tied up schedule in September.
One of the very adorable features of the app is the calendar of the iTunes Festival Gigs which outlines all of the acts lined up to play for the whole month. You can have the glimpse of the whole event, as to who is performing an event when, in a single glance on the calendar. That way there is no chance you will miss out your favorite star’s act.
The artist’s profile on the app gives details about the artists, the song and date of performance. The important happenings can be caught on the news section. Music lovers who are new to the city need not worry, as the app has map and direction for guidance.
For those who cannot make it to London to attend the live show, the Apple app is second best option.

Hello suresh,
People should look to get to them really early as a LOT of people will turn up.
Because of that, only a FEW will get in. The Roundhouse only has a capacity of 5,000 and you’ll be surprised at how many people with free tickets do turn up.
