Firefox 15  is already out for pre-beta ‘Aurora’ stage download. With this Firefox 15, the users are going to experience faster start-up of the browser and updated performance improvements. The Firefox 15 bags some new features like inbuilt PDF support, upgraded SPDY protocol v3, redesigned built-in Debugger, Silent Upgrade feature and more.

After Chrome releasing their built-in PDF support to its Chrome Dev channel in June 2010, Mozilla started working with the same feature and introduced PDF.js as a separate add-on to render PDF files. But this time, the PDF viewer functionality is now built-in by default and has been refreshed with an updated user interface.  Some features, are not yet supported, such as those required to display 3D PDF files, and users are required to open them with a different viewer.

Firefox 15, is now coming with the faster, multiplexed protocol designed for downloading modern web applications and sites more speeder than before. SPDY (pronounced “SPeeDY”), a application-layer protocol for transporting content over the web, designed specifically for minimal latency and faster page loads has also been updated to its newer version 3.

Web developers get all new tools and improvements to the command line interface which has to be manually activated. To enable this new feature, developers must write up about:config in the address bar to set the dev tools.toolbar.enabled preference to true. A restart of browser enables the feature, which can be activated with the shortcut Ctrl-Shift-V. The all new debugger will be available in Web developer menu section of the Firefox browser, which helps in easy sorting out of Java-script errors and debug them. JavaScript applications running with the Debugger open will run nearly as fast as they do without the Debugger.

Mozilla attempts to reduce the time users have to wait until a browser update completes.  The last part of the feature is background updates, which basically means that the majority of the updates will be installed while Firefox is still running.

Firefox adds a new Layout view style which enables the user to easily understand the layouts, and also adds one more awesome feature to view Responsive type of sites. Now the users may not have to re-size their browser window and check for the changes in the Responsive design of a website, instead they can just activate Responsive Design View and just re-size the window within the browser tab window which makes the users less annoying.

Other changes in Firefox 15 include improvements to prevent add-on related memory leaks, enhanced developer tools, and better HTML5 support.
