Now you can download images from some famous websites such as picasa, deviantart, imgur, PhotoBucket, photo.net and 4Chan using image collector. It has options to view and categorize also. You can customly add images to some categories using the categorize feature, you can also create your own categories. It also has a special feature to view the images in 3 different styles “Normal, stretched and center”.
Download the application from the web
Install it and then open it.
To start, you must first select a Service from the 6 available service : Picasa, deviantart, imgur, photoBucket, photo.net and 4chan. Then select a Genre. The selection of genre is supported only for 4chan, deviantart, imgur and photo.net.
The images are displayed in thumbnail view, you can simply double click on any image to change the view.
After you double click the image, it will open in the image viewer where you can copy the image to the clipboard, change the mode of view or clear the image.
Lets create some categories :
Go to tools and select create categories or you can simply press f3.
Then click on add new category.
Then select a name, icon, group and the output folder and then save it.
Now to download the image, you must first select a category from the left sidebar, then right click on the thumbnail and click download selected/all to download the images. This software has one big disadvantage, that is there is no search box to search images.
There’s also a special feature of Plugin manager which helps you to enable/disable the available services, by clicking the install new plugins you can install some extra plugins but currently there are no extra plugins in the free version. You can upgrade it to the premium version for just $8.
Image collector works on windows xp, vista and windows 7.
